The usual amenities just won’t do. At Baseline, we’re bringing back the great outdoors, recreation and life enjoyed under the Colorado sunshine. Because that’s where wellness really happens. In fact, a third of the community is dedicated to parks and greenspace. So that every home and business in Baseline is just a short walk from a place to relax, play and be well, outside.

The centerpiece of Baseline’s green infrastructure is the 62-acre Parklands. Following Preble Creek through the pollinator-rich landscape, Parklands is envisioned not as a singular park but as a mix of inspired outdoor spaces—each offering a unique experience. Its Big Green is complete and soon a grand promenade along the west side will lead to a shady pavilion, artful playgrounds, picnicking spots and meandering trails beneath a grove of trees, plus basketball, tennis and pickleball courts.

Rally Park coming to Parklands 2027

Courts for basketball and pickleball. A rock wall for climbing. A pavilion for gatherings. This is a park where people get together. To compete. To socialize. To rally. It’s the next exciting phase of the Parklands and it’s anticipated to open next summer.

The Big Green

In The Parklands

As the name suggests, it’s an expansive lawn designed for picnicking, tossing a frisbee, kicking a soccer ball, throwing a football … and generally enjoying an afternoon in the cool grass. The Big Green is one small part of the ever-growing Parklands greenspace.

Little Green features shaded hammocks, pollinator gardens, a log gym and it’s right next to Park Lane, Baseline’s active pedestrian-friendly street, leading to The Big Green.

The Quad

Meander the lighted walkways in the evening or relax in a hammock. The Quad also boasts custom benches and picnic tables made in Baseline.

The Backyard

Future Park

The Backyard is designed as a casual neighborhood gathering spot with room to toss a football or lay back watch the clouds roll by. Opening 2028 in Parkside West.

Getting around Baseline

Baseline’s plan calls for miles of walkways, winding trails, breezy bike lanes and pollinator-friendly gardenways — all working to make the community pedestrian-friendly and cars unnecessary. Even some of the streets, like Park Lane along Little Green, are designed as much for people and events as they are for cars. In other words, getting around in Baseline will continue to get easier and more beautiful.
