The Life

Parks & Other Places

An active life is as easy as getting out into nature. Here, it’s like a walk in the park.

Many parks in one

The centerpiece of Baseline’s green infrastructure is the 62-acre Parklands. Following Preble Creek through the pollinator-rich landscape, Parklands is envisioned not as a singular park but as a mix of inspired outdoor spaces—each offering a unique experience. Its Big Green is complete and soon a grand promenade along the west side will lead to a shady pavilion, artful playgrounds, picnicking spots and meandering trails beneath a grove of trees, plus basketball, tennis and pickleball courts.

Rally Park coming to Parklands 2026
Courts for basketball, tennis and pickleball. A rock wall for climbing. A pavilion for gatherings. This is a park where people get together. To compete. To socialize. To rally. It’s the next exciting phase of the Parklands and it’s anticipated to open next summer.

Village parks

For every great village there is a park (or three).

The Basin

in west village

The Basin’s wide open lawn is encircled by a walking path and lots of places to relax and enjoy the day.

Checker Square

in west village

Checker Square is a daily dose of fresh air and friendly neighborhood faces with places to sit, romp, play and get together.

Little Green

in parkside west

Little Green features shaded hammocks, pollinator gardens, a log gym and it’s right next to Park Lane, Baseline’s active pedestrian-friendly street, leading to The Big Green.

The Backyard

In parkside west

The Backyard is designed as a casual neighborhood gathering spot with room to toss a football or lay back watch the clouds roll by. Opening 2026.

The Quad

in parkside west

Meander the lighted walkways in the evening or relax in a hammock. The Quad also boasts custom benches and picnic tables made in Baseline.

Getting around Baseline

Baseline’s plan calls for miles of walkways, winding trails, breezy bike lanes and pollinator-friendly gardenways — all working to make the community pedestrian-friendly and cars unnecessary. Even some of the streets, like Park Lane along Little Green, are designed as much for people and events as they are for cars. In other words, getting around in Baseline will continue to get easier and more beautiful.
