Parks and gardenways

Green Space

In addition to its Parklands access, Parkside West will have two pretty great parks of its own. Little Green is packed with big experiences. Shaded hammocks, meandering pollinator garden pathways, a log gym, an event plaza and a human-sized nest. The Backyard will be a casual neighborhood gathering spot with room to toss a football and shade to escape the heat, much like any backyard. Plus, it’ll feature a sculpture garden, leisure swings and a playful rolling landscape. Then, Parkside West’s park-like gardenways, crisscrossing the village, make getting from here to there as pleasant and pedestrian-friendly as a place can possibly be.

The Parklands

The Parklands, oriented around Prebble Creek, is the centerpiece of Baseline’s green infrastructure. It will be realized not as a single central park but as a mix of inspired outdoor spaces, each offering something different. Its expansive Big Green and Amphitheatre will be a venue for events and a place to play. Its grand Promenade will be a place to stroll or simply relax and watch the world go by. Its Outcrop will feature sport courts, playgrounds and picnic tables beside a shimmering pond. Butterfly Park will showcase a pollinator-rich landscape, and an active trail system will weave its way from one end to the other and back.
